Fibs and Freudian slips – can we lie when we sing?

How is it we can lie when we speak, but not when we sing? Elvis Presley had trouble getting through the bridge of songs of that had an emotional charge for him. He would find himself ad-libbing, and as time passed it became more obvious. Making a parallel to the Freudian slip or parapraxis, Malcolm Gladwell’s podcast, takes a song thought Elvis’s life to see this progression.
