In psychological trait theory, the Big Five personality traits, also known as the five-factor model and the OCEAN model, is a suggested taxonomy, or grouping, for personality traits, developed from the 1980s onwards.
The most widely accepted of these traits are the Big Five:

- Openness to feelings.
- Straightforwardness (and being “frank, sincere, and ingenuous”)
- Warmth (being affectionate and friendly)
- Positive emotions (experiencing “joy, happiness, love, and excitement”)
- Low levels of angry hostility.
