Can “Joy” really be so simple

The book by Amy Bloom did not take me by surprise. I had read “Eleanor Roosevelt” by Blanche Wiesen Cook, and “No Ordinary Time”, by Doris Kearns Goodwin. This would fill in some of the spaces in my mind of what it might have been like, and looked like, from this imaginative and unusual point of view.
